Jolt: The Official Energy Drink of Summer Solstice

ROCHESTER, NY, JUNE, 2008 – In honor of the Summer Solstice, Barrow, AK will be renamed Jolt, AK, as officially decreed by Mayor Michael Stotts and Jolt Energy Drinks! Barrow, or Jolt, AK with 4,065 residents, is three-hundred and twenty miles above the Artic Circle and is the northernmost settlement in the U.S.  The Arctic Circle will experience 24 hours straight of daylight! With all this sunshine, people will be working longer, playing harder and in need of an Energy boost from Jolt!

The summer solstice is celebrated on June 20th this year.  This day marks the beginning of the summer for the Northern Hemisphere. Jolt Energy will air-lift 370 cases to Jolt, AK, one bottle for every resident to reduce the debilitating effects of being up too long on the longest day of the year. The emergency boosts will be distributed at noon, which will be exactly 5 weeks and 6 days after sunrise there, with another 5 weeks and 6 days to go until nightfall. “We will not stand idly by and let the citizens of Jolt go un-energized through their 1,992-hour day,” says C.J.
